The Minecraft Bedrock Edition supports crossplay on Android, iOS, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and more. Bedrock players also have access to Realms, a multiplayer server run by Minecraft.

Minecraft: Java Edition is the original version of the game for computers, while Bedrock is a newer version available on nearly every device.

Minecraft: Bedrock Edition's code platform was created in an attempt to move away from the restrictions of Java, but that doesn't negate its share of issues.

For those using Minecraft’s Java Edition, you’ll need to purchase a Realm from the Minecraft website. Keep in mind that Bedrock Edition players cannot play on the same servers as Java players.
