A "failed to install" error found when attempting to load an Android update might seem like the end of the world, but it can be relatively easy to fix.

Google is aware of how some devices, including Pixel, on Android 16 and 16 QPR1 are failing to install Play system updates.

Due to this, Pixel phones on Android 16 are still stuck on the May build of the Google Play system update. In a post on its support forums, Google has confirmed the Play system update bug.
